Hello all Penta friends!
We went for a visit to Idanha-a-Nova, more specifically to the Boom Festival 2014, Portugal, site this weekend to drop off a friend and to say hi to some amigos. The playground for the future international psy gathering is only open for Boom Festival production crew at the moment, by the way. It is impressive to see all the work being done, but I am not revealing any secrets here. One of the most amazing things was to still see some green grass at the place, something that is sure going to change in the next month.
I am playing for two hours this year hopefully, so it will be my longest set at Boom Festival yet. It was nice to come and touch the ground, and mentally prepare for the goa psy party of the year. If you are coming to Boom Festival with a child like us, be sure to stop by Baby Boom, it is going to be epic this year! The Psynema‘s Basti is on it, – if you know what I mean.
This psytrance festival was always the ultimate testing ground for my psychedelic work, and a place where a lot of cooking in the kitchen of my fate happens. I have always leaned to be part of it, and have even being involved in side-projects, such as Boom Festival Radio. These days, however, my main project is my son Lucas, so I have to chose all of my psy projects carefully. It is possible that we will be involved in this psychedelic festival again in the future, but at the moment we are just helping to carry some sleeping bags and tents, so to speak.
The last thing but not least: The photo for this post is a beautiful, but spiky plant that lives around the Barragem de Idanha-a-Nova. Say hi to it for me if you see it! Love it, caress it, don’t eat it!
See you at the Boom festival in Portugal in August!
Nikita
